AppleCare+ covers theft and loss, but it does not cover damage caused by drops and spills. If you accidentally drop your phone and it breaks, you will need to buy a new one.
Where Is Applecare+ Theft and Loss Available
AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage for the iPhone is available in the United States, Australia, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom. This coverage includes damage done to the phone that was not caused by you, such as theft or loss.
Who Can File an Applecare+ With Theft and Loss Claim
If you accidentally lose your iPhone, you can file a claim with AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss. This will help you get a replacement phone. You can use the Find My app or go to iCloud.com/find to mark your iPhone as lost.
How Do I Update My Applecare
If you have AppleCare, you can update it by going to Settings > General > About, then tapping the name of your AppleCare plan. On your Mac, from the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About this Mac, then click Support. Or go to mysupport. apple.com/en-gb and sign in with your Apple ID.
Once you’re on the About this Mac page, you’ll see a button that says Update Plan. Tap that button and follow the on-screen instructions. If you have any questions, you can chat with Apple Support or visit an Apple Store.
Does Applecare Plus Cover Theft for Airpods
If you lose an AirPod or your Charging Case, you can buy a replacement for a left or right AirPod or the Charging Case. Your replacement will be new. AppleCare+ for Headphones does not cover lost or stolen AirPods.
